Join us for a walking tour of Etu-Töölö, where we’ll explore and learn together!

In our last Coffee Room back in April, we got to know Helsinki through each other’s stories.

Now in June with early summer here, we’re going to explore Helsinki again – this time literally!

What is this activity all about?

The Spouse Program invites you to a special activity combining community, learning, and outside fun on 16 June.

The Helsinki City Museum is giving us a tour of the beautiful architecture in Etu-Töölö, one of the most important residential areas in early 20th century Helsinki.

The tour is a great way to see a new area of Helsinki on a deeper level – or if you are familiar with Töölö, you might get to see it in a different light.

Details

The group will meet on June 16 at Villa Hakasalmi at 15.45. The tour starts there at 16.00, so please be there in advance – we are unfortunately unable to wait up for late arrivals!

From Villa Hakasalmi, the group will walk together to see different areas in Etu-Töölö and learn from our guide, until finally ending up at the Töölö church.

We strongly encourage participants to continue getting to know each other after the tour! For example, the area has several wonderful parks where you could enjoy a nice picnic, if the weather is nice. Some parks we suggest are:

  • Sibelius Park
  • Hesperia Park
  • Hietaniemi Beach

Please note that the walking tour can host up to a maximum of 25 Spouse Program members. Sign up quickly if you want to participate, and make sure to cancel your participation if you can’t make it!

We hope to see you at the event!
