Families are welcome to join the second art workshop of the autumn season!

Come, create and relax at the Family Crafts event on Friday, 6 November.

This autumn we have three special art workshops lined up for children of Spouse Program members, organised in collaboration with Seed Art Studio.

In November, you will create an autumn themed mobile made using real leaves as inspiration. There will also be a chance to use natural materials in your art, like natural paints, pine cones and acorns!

What is the workshop all about?

The goal of the workshops is to teach children new to Finland about the local culture and activities, as well as make them feel comfortable in a new environment. Furthermore, they will have the chance to interact with others and learn English in the process. Most importantly, the workshops give a safe space for the children to be creative, have fun and make new friends!

The themes of the second workshop focus on embracing the dark autumn (pimeä syksy) with a sense of gratitude and appreciating the chance to slow down. Building a relationship with nature. We also discuss Every Person’s Right of walking in nature and foraging for natural materials. We recommend the workshop for children aged five and above.

At the workshop, you and your child(ren) can look forward to:

  • Art using natural materials
  • Some snacks and drinks
  • A creative and friendly atmosphere for children and parents alike

Please note!

The space for the workshop is limited, and can only host five-to-six families. Sign up now to secure a spot!

If you sign up and can’t make it, please send us a message in advance to cancel your registration.

What is Seed Art Studio?

Seed Art Studio offers a cosy and supportive atmosphere where children can learn through hands-on creative experiences and explore art in an English-speaking environment. Its mission is to foster lifelong learning from an early age, while helping children develop their English naturally through immersion in art. Along the way, children build confidence, express their creativity, and experience the sense of accomplishment that comes from creating something of their own.
